Angels are all around.
Though they don’t make a sound.
We never see their brilliant wings.
And on their arrival no one sings.
We don’t hear any trumpets blazing.
But their deeds are still amazing.

They can be the face of a stranger.
When we are faced with mortal danger.
They can be the face of a true friend.
When we just want our life to end.
Helping us smile when feeling down.
When we feel like we’re about to drown.

They can be the face of a family member.
When we don’t want to remember.
When we just don’t know how to cope.
Showing us that there’s always hope.
They can be the face of you and I sometimes too.
Returning the kindness someone once showed you.

So when we feel like it’s us against the world.
When life’s threads seem to come unfurled.
When we feel like we just can’t go on.
When a loved one has passed or gone.
When we’re buried in our own sorrow.
When we don’t want to see tomorrow.

An angel will be there.
To show us they care.
