by Kim Ferguson
I did it again
and I know there’ll be tears
my account just gets larger
with every new year
seventy times seven
has long past been met
Is it easier to forgive
than later live with regret
But a friend that’ll be there
in spite of the hurt
looking past the offenses
that values your worth
knows that pride’s a true evil
and resentment another
That’s a friend that sticks by you
closer than a brother
Yes, you have taught me
the real way to love
not the kind that’s strong one day
but fades when it’s tough
knowing that no one is perfect
and least of all me
Your agape demonstrates
the kind of friend I want to be
